Glasgow – Five of the best Student Areas
1) Hillhead
An area packed with bars, restaurants and pubs, Hillhead is one of Glasgow’s trendiest student areas. It’s also an ideal location for University of Glasgow Students with the University being located there.
2) Anniesland
A little further afield than Hillhead, Anniesland is located near the west end centre of Glasgow. This is an area favoured by many students thanks to its affordable rents and good transport links. Despite being a little further out from the centre it is still an excellent location for University of Glasgow Students.
3) Denistoun
Located in the east end but closer to Glasgow city centre than some of the other areas on this list, Denistoun is a notable student hub, and more suited to University of Strathclyde & Glasgow Caledonian University students due to its proximity. The area is in a convenient location with excellent transport links it even has its very own Lidl.
4) City Centre
As expected the city centre is the prime location for pretty much everything you need and is in excellent proximity to all of the Universities, bars, restaurants and shopping districts. As you would expect the rents here are on the higher side, although you’ll save yourself some time and money on transport.
5) Partick
Located just down the road from Hillhead, Patrick is an area perfectly situated for University of Glasgow students due to its proximity but thanks to its excellent transport links it’s also a hotspot for University of Strathclyde & Glasgow Caledonian University students.
